C9H7NO. It appears as a white to light yellow powder to crystal with a phenolic odor. It is insoluble in
Water and soluble in Alcohol at ambient conditions. It is a Monohydroxyquinolinol that is Quinoline
substituted by a hydroxy group at position 8 and is prepared by the hydrolysis of Quinoline-8-Sulfonic
