These polypropylene tubes come with blue HDPE leak-proof screw caps, designed with flat threads for a vacuum-type closure that ensures leak-free performance at pressures exceeding 700 mm Hg. The tubes feature a highly smooth, hydrophobic interior surface, minimizing wall effects. Silk-screen graduations and a frosted surface provide ease in labeling.
They are autoclavable at 121°C and 15 psi for 20 minutes, and sterilized using gamma radiation. The tubes are DNase, RNase, pyrogen, and latex-free, with a maximum RCF of 18,000 for 15 mL tubes and 20,000 for 50 mL tubes. Amber-colored tubes are suitable for light-sensitive applications, as they effectively block light from passing through the samples.
