Mercuric Nitrate, also known as Mercuric Nitrate Monohydrate and Mercury (II) Nitrate Hydrate has the chemical formula H2HgN2O7. It appears as colorless to white crystalline granules with a slight Nitric Acid odor. It is hygroscopic and is soluble in Water at ambient conditions. Lab Alley’s Mercuric Nitrate contains 3.3 g of Mercuric Nitrate, Dihydrate, 0.25 mL Nitric Acid (in 100 mL of Water) diluted to 1L with Water. This solution appears as a colorless and odorless liquid.
