Ammonium Peroxydisulfate (APS) is an inorganic compound having the chemical formula
H8N2O8S2 or (NH4)2S2O8. It is also known as Ammonium Peroxydisulfate and Diammonium
Peroxydisulfate. It is an oxidizing agent used in conjunction with tetramethylethylenediamine
(TEMED) to speed up the polymerization of a wide range of compounds. At room temperature, it
appears colorless and has a weak odor. This solution has been specially formulated with 20%
concentration of pure Ammonium Peroxydisulfate for etching applications in the metal industry.
